Fully Booked

I have a work schedule! In fact, for the first time ever I have used my e-calendar and filled in a whole month of pre-booked jobs! After giving Alan the flick earlier in the year, things really turned around for a while and I started earning the sort of money I used to earn. The month of August was a great month┬ábut September was a complete washout – I went through five weeks of next to nothing, hardly daring to login and look at what was going on with my current account! So now it’s October and I am booked in for the whole month, which is a real relief because although it will be a bit of a slog, I can’t wait to hit the West End with Maureen and splash a bit of cash come November.

Do not Disturb

Touch & Go

On Friday evening I was struck d0wn by a nasty bug. I made it through the night and spent Saturday in bed; all day and all night (not a hardship). This morning, fearing the worst, I tentatively opened one eye and asked myself how I was feeling today, for I had planned to go to town (literally) with my pile of cash from lovely Honey, to lavish myself with gifts (yay!). I am pleased to say that I felt fine, a little weak but able to hop on the tube and go on a mission. I had in mind exactly which shops I would be visiting and my route around, although I did get a bit lost trying to get to Covent Garden from Leicester Square – in Leicester Square I was told by a total stranger that I looked nice today (which I thought was nice of him to say) – he should have seen me yesterday! I ended up on the Strand and took a left up Drury Lane and found my way without resorting to the sat-nav – the Strand was quiet and away from the hustle and bustle, so I smoked a spliff in relative privacy. I purchased everything I wanted and a little more. On my way through Covent Garden to Tottenham Court Road, I was accosted by an Israelli girl, selling Dead Sea products, I explained that she would be wasting her time if she got me in her shop but she insisted – she was a very hard saleswoman but I managed to leave there without parting with any money (mainly because I had spent it all). During my consultation she pointed out all my fine lines and said that I had rosacea on my nose!! .. that is so not true!

I am not a materialistic person, I just need what I need. In this hideous time of ‘austerity’ (my least favourite word, ever) I have been under resourced and life’s little luxuries have been well under funded.

A few months ago I needed an iPad and my Honey purchased one for me that same day (I was surprised, I think it must have been good timing). He told me that it would be my birthday present, which I told him it was not (my birthday was at least 8 weeks away … silly).

However, when I returned home this afternoon, Honey told me that he would be gifting me a considerable sum of money, so I can go and buy my things – namely, perfume, body lotions, face serums, bubble bath and some other lovely things, totally taking care of his generous gift.
